Steve Sallion is proudly Brooklyn bred-from being born at Brooklyn Jewish Hospital to attending the prestigious Brooklyn Technical High School. You can hear him chanting Brook-lyn loudly from his seats at Nets basketball games. As a veteran of Wall Street and an Entrepreneur, Steves business transactions have been featured in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Fortune Small Business and Black Enterprise magazine (cover), to name a few. Steve has also spoken on entrepreneurship and real estate investing at Wharton Business School, Columbia University and Harvard Business School. As an independent real estate broker for several years, Steve has joined the firm to leverage his finance and global relationship base that only the Sothebys International Realty brand can fully exploit. Currently residing in Prospect Heights, minutes from the Barclays Center, Steve has personally bought and sold property in Downtown Brooklyn for over 20 years, and has a firm understanding of both residential and commercial real estate. Firmly believing that a home is a major foundation to any familys financial portfolio, Steve spends significant time educating his clients on the home market values in approaching real estate transactions. Steve is proud to be New York Residential real estate (NYRS) certified by the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY), the highest level of achievement in residential real estate. Steve is an Orangeman, graduating from Syracuse University with a B.A. in Economics. His macro and micro views and understanding the financial economy serve him and his clients well in evaluating real estate transactions. Steve is also very active in the community, actively participating in Community Board 8 (Prospect Heights, Crown Heights), co-founder of Myrtle Avenue Revitalization Project and serving on the Board and Treasurer of MoCADA, a museum for emerging artists of African Diaspora. When not working on Finance and Real Estate, Steve is a developing foodie, enjoying exploring new restaurants, and conversely keeps in shape by riding his mountain bike in Prospect Park and working out at the gym. He travels internationally extensively, and annually returns home to visit his family in Trinidad, West Indies.
