A bay area native, Steve Houd grew up surrounded by architecture, home building and commercial real estate as a result of his father’s many business endeavors. This robust environment became a playground for Steve’s inquiring mind and ultimately led him to follow in his father's footsteps. After studying economics at the University of the Pacific, Steve guided hundreds of deals into completion and counts over 30 years of hands on real estate experience as part of his working repertoire.

Prior to joining Sotheby’s International Realty, Steve was Vice President with Santa Fe Partners, a diverse real estate development firm headquartered in Park City, Utah. During his tenure at Santa Fe, he was involved in the development and entitlement process, as well as being responsible for the successful marketing and sales of several noteworthy San Francisco residential and mixed-use developments. One of his projects included the award winning “One South Park,” a seismic retrofit, rehabilitation and condo conversion of an early 1900s-era concrete warehouse.

In his free time, Steve loves hanging out with his two children Laura & Jeff (now residing in Colorado). He also can be found cycling, skiing deep powder, playing a competitive match of tennis or walking the dogs around the City.
