Sophia Alfred is a Maryland native, born and raised in Montgomery County, and a current DC resident. With her in-depth knowledge and understanding of the local market paired with her enthusiasm and her high level of energy, she operates her business with professionalism, integrity, and a high level of customer service. She prides herself on being consistent, personable and an active listener. Understanding her clients’ needs to ensure that their buying/selling experience is successful is a priority!


Prior to real estate, Sophia was a consultative sales and marketing professional in sports and entertainment having worked for companies such as the Washington (Redskins) Football Team and Live Nation Entertainment. As a savvy, creative marketer and persuasive negotiator, Sophia has built a successful career on being attentive and resourceful, as well as an out of the box thinker.


Amongst friends, Sophia is often considered to have the “Pulse of the City (DC)” by knowing what’s new and what’s hot - not to mention traveling the world. And, when she isn’t out trying to sell the city to her friends, she’s plotting her next travel adventure, exploring a new restaurant or discovering cool experiences.


Sophia is a first generation Ethiopian American, who is fluent in Amharic. She attended University of Maryland, College Park where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiological Sciences and Public & Community Health and earned a Master’s in Public Relations/Corporate Communications from Georgetown University.


Sophia currently resides at The Wharf. She loves being close to the water and steps away from a vibrant scene filled with restaurants and bars.
