Shannon started her life in the Florida Keys in 1974 after her parents and siblings moved from Oklahoma City to Florida in search of life on a boat. Shannon lived on a 40 ft sailboat with her parents, brother, and sister for the first 7 years in the Keys, Marathon to be exact.

After graduating from Marathon High, she went to the University of Florida which led her to a job in commercial radio after returning home. She started out in the news department, then in sales, and then into management. Shannon’s radio career started in 1982 and ended in 2014 after choosing real estate as her new career.

Shannon acquired her Real Estate license in 2000, doing both real estate sales, along with managing the radio station. She took a break from radio in 2006 and spent 5 years at Hawks Cay Realty expanding her real estate sales and knowledge.

From there she went back to radio sales while doing Vacation Rentals with another real estate firm. In 2015, Shannon returned to real estate sales full time.

Shannon earned the title of Top Female Producer in 2018 and looks forward to many successful years in real estate sales.

In the past, Shannon has served as Board of Director for the Marathon Chamber of Commerce, as well as, the Marathon and Lower Keys Board of Realtors. She was also a member of the Marathon Rotary Club, shortly after the club accepted female members, along with the Marathon Business and Professional Women's Club.

Today Shannon enjoys the company of her two daughters and her husband and when she has a chance, boating! Though cooking is a necessity, it’s also another form of enjoyment, as Shannon claims to be a “foodie” enjoying the best in food and wine.

Growing up in the Keys has had it’s benefits for Shannon, allowing her to share her vast knowledge of the area and helping visitors become residents.
