Muffin Dixon lives by the Golden Rule, “treat others as you would like to be to be treated.” Her clients are her top priority and she is determined to serve them with as smooth and effortless a transaction as possible. Her strength is in her attention to detail and her initiative to get things done.

A summer at the Outer Banks led to Muffin’s permanent move to the Triangle. She has resided in all three cities of the Triangle, but has called Durham home for 30 years. She has experienced firsthand the growth of this region — most recently the incredible development of downtown Durham and Chapel Hill. Muffin worked for 37 years in sales and customer service, developing loyal, trusted relationships. She transitioned to real estate fulfilling a lifelong interest and believing her skills could be helpful to sellers and buyers. Having navigated life’s different stages, she has hands-on experience and resources that benefit her clients.

Muffin is from Chester County, Pennsylvania, known for its strong history dating back to William Penn. She attended Westtown School, founded in 1799. Her education there began a lifetime love of history and critical thinking. Muffin then attended Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia graduating with honors in 1980. With every real estate transaction requiring different skills and expertise, Muffin believes her liberal arts background prepared her to be organized and analytical, resulting in successful transactions.

When not working, Muffin enjoys entertaining and cooking for friends. She resides in southwest Durham near Hope Valley with her husband Jake and Boykin Spaniel, Millie. Her daughter and new son-in-law live in Richmond. Muffin and Jake escape to Nags Head for relaxation and, closer to home, their boat at Kerr Lake. They love frequenting all the great restaurants Durham has to offer and are proud to call Durham home.
