Kim crawled into real estate. Her father was an inventor, entrepreneur, and prominent commercial real estate broker, and developer in Santa Monica back in the ’50’s, ’60’s to mid ’70’s. Her mother, amongst other trades was a real estate broker, property magnate, and the best little dancer in town. They owned their own real estate firm in Santa Monica, California and some 50-odd-years later it has been passed down to Kim who privately owns and operates it from its original location.

Kim got a taste of Kauai back in the mid-’70’s. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in French Literature, she joined the love of her life John, where they set up camp and their humble, simple life began. In 1980 she became the French and physical education teacher at a private school named Island School. After 8 years as a dedicated school teacher, she gave birth to her lovely two daughters and she decided to use her quick wit, charm, and innate knowledge to shift her career to that of real estate.

Her family is her heart. She and her husband John, a true waterman from Malibu, were high-school sweethearts and are best friends. He is semi-retired from working in the movie industry as a craft service union member. Prior to that, John worked in many diverse restaurants as a top chef and to this day, still actively satisfies this role for his family and friends.

Their two loving daughters were born and raised on Kauai as water women and adventure seekers alike. Together, they have their own swimwear company called CAMI AND JAX. They opened a brick-and-mortar boutique nearly 7 years ago on the hip street of Montana Avenue in Santa Monica where Kim is from. Their swimwear designs have graced the cover of Vogue Paris and their boutique is a hot spot for L.A. fashionistas, celebrities, stylists, and just about anyone. Their luxury silhouettes were designed to flatter all shapes and sizes. The oldest daughter Jackie has a bachelor’s degree in fashion design and French as well as her master's in education. Their youngest daughter Camille has her bachelor’s degree in business and marketing as well as her real estate license in both California and Hawaii.

It is safe to say that with three generations of real estate enterprise, it is a passion and life style of the family. Kim is a professional real estate broker in both states of Hawaii and California but more importantly, she is a good person. She loves the Garden Island of Kauai and after 40+ years living on the island, she knows it well.
