Real Estate Professional
For over 15 years Kevin has built his successful real estate business through a commitment to six core principles: high ethical standards, industry expertise, honesty and straightforwardness, communication, collaboration, and being a contributing member to both his industry and local community. Kevin has sold over $85 million in the Vail Valley and counting. Together with his teammate and fellow broker, Betsy Laughlin, they bring a wealth of expertise, connections, negotiations skills and enhance their client’s experience through ensuring no gaps in broker coverage and work as a strategic team towards the success of each transaction.
As a broker, Kevin works hard for his clients’ interests and to keep deals together. He values truth and transparency, believing in telling his clients what they should hear and not what they want to hear to power them with the right information to make the best decisions for themselves and their families. His commitment to working a deal through his client’s lens is the foundation that has led to his large network of referrals and repeat clients.
Kevin moved to Vail after graduating from Longwood University in Virginia over 20 years ago when a ski trip after college had him fall in love with the welcoming people of Vail along with the landscape and lifestyle. Since then, he’s built a life deeply integrated in the community and growth the valley has seen over the last 2 decades. Kevin is an Eagle Scout, earning it at the young age of 15, where he was instilled with the qualities of trust, loyalty, reliability and integrity.
From the beginning of his real estate career, Kevin has always placed high priority on doing the work to be an expert in his industry possessing the following realtor accreditations: VAIL PRO designation, Resort and Second Home Property Specialist (RSPS), Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE), At Home With Diversity (AHWD) and Energy Educated Realtor®. Kevin has served as the Chair on both the Vail Board of Realtors® and Vail MLS Board of Directors, and still currently sits on the Vail Board of Realtors® as the Past Chair. He attends real estate discussions with government officials in Denver and Washington D.C. annually, has a worldwide industry network, and provides expertise to other local brokers.
Kevin sees commitment to both his professional community and local community as equally important. Aside from being a champion of his industry, Kevin is involved with local initiatives such as affordable housing for local residents, educational advancement charities, Habitat for Humanity, Team LEO, and the Humane Society as he has a big heart for animal rescue.
Being a respected member of the Vail community is not only fulfilling and important to Kevin but also helpful to his clients. His large network of local connections not only serves client needs directly but also maintains Kevin’s pulse on the changing real estate opportunities and varied nuances in the ski villages and the surrounding residential valley neighborhoods.
When not serving his clients, you can find Kevin enjoying the year-round mountain lifestyle snowboarding, golfing, hiking with his dog, boating and bike riding with his wife.
