Joy‘s roots are in Pinehurst, North Carolina where her father was a successful commercial real estate broker and developer. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is a proud Tar Heel! Joy’s professional career began in Washington, DC area where she performed sales and marketing services in the high-tech industry. Moving to Denver, CO, she eventually created her own public relations firm serving major international companies including Microsoft, Toshiba, as well as a number of high-tech start-ups.

Returning to North Carolina, Joy initiated her real estate career in 2007 with several leading real estate firms in Wilmington before starting her own company, Pinehurst South Realty, which is named after the development in Pinehurst that her Father started 40 years ago. Joy has enjoyed the opportunity to serve a number of International clients over the past few years, closing multi-million dollar real estate deals with prominent families who were focused on calling North Carolina home. Joy’s extensive knowledge of the area, passion for the coastal life-style, and commitment to her customers ‘ dreams and desires combine for a uniquely powerful force on the real estate scene.

Joy served as the Vice Chair of the Board of the North Carolina China Council from 2013 – 2015. She is a member of the Women’s Impact Network and is an active promoter/supporter of The American Heart Association, Cape Fear Community College, and the Boys and Girls Club of America. In her spare time she enjoys playing golf, skiing, fishing, boating, CAbi clothing, and thoroughly enjoying a most active life with her husband, Luke, and dog, Bella.
