A West Hartford resident for over 30 years, John DePalma brings a unique knowledge of the community to his career at William Pitt Sotheby's International Realty. Born and raised in West Hartford, John later returned to reside in his beloved hometown. One of the most valuable aspects of his role as a real estate professional is the ability to welcome clients to the neighborhoods he knows so well, both in West Hartford and surrounding towns. Whether he's helping clients navigate the home search process or discover a favorite local restaurant, John's long standing community involvement is an asset to new and established clients alike.



A graduate of The University of Connecticut in 2011, and a member of the university's award winning acappella group, John went on to earn degrees in both Music and Education. As an undergrad, John's acappella group was asked to perform at the White House in 2009. Upon graduating, he performed as a professional musician singing in The Vineyard Sound, an acappella group on Martha's Vineyard. While there, he fulfilled his dream of serenading his childhood crush, Meg Ryan. From there, John took on a position in the Newington Public School system for three years. He grew their choral program as Director, and taught Music Technology. He also performed as a band member of the Show Choir, and was the pit orchestra drummer for their high school theater program.



John also has experience in the service industry, specifically fine dining. Working seven years at Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar in various roles. John has always had a passion for real estate and recently decided to make it his career.



When he isn't helping someone find the home of their dreams, you can find John exercising, golfing, singing at Yard Goats & Wolfpack games, and watching his favorite unscripted series, Survivor!
