Born and raised by a family of builders, Jim came to Chicago real estate in the late 1990s with Heartland values, a passion for excellence and a full portfolio of customer service skills. Out of college, he worked in the call center management/customer service industry, providing third-party customer service and marketing support for premier companies such as AT&T, Costco, American Express, Allstate and GE.

But sawdust was in his blood, and when a Chicago condo developer who had sold Jim a condo unit began recruiting him to join his sales team, Jim followed his passion and left the customer service industry behind. Over the past 2 decades, Jim has developed an expertise in luxury, urban real estate and has become a leader and a recognized name within the Chicago real estate industry.

His niche over those 2 decades centered on his knowledge of new construction, assisting high net worth individuals in locating specific properties and the acquisition of assets for investors and developers. His 'hyper-local' knowledge of Lincoln Park, Old Town, Lakeview and other north side neighborhoods has become invaluable for his clients over the years. Because of this knowledge, his client list became 95%+ referral.

Jim also has a love and passion for his fellow brokers and in 2011 he began to actively coach and mentor others in his brokerage. What started out as an experiment, turned into an industry leading coaching and mentoring program within Jameson Sotheby's International Realty. He has personally coached 200+ brokers since the inception of the program with life-changing results for those brokers who have participated.

In May of 2013, Jim was offered and accepted the role of Managing Broker and Chief Operating Officer at Jameson Sotheby's International Realty. Not unlike his passion to assist his clients, Jim excels at managing an operations staff and developing and assisting fellow real estate professionals. His years in management and on the front line as a top producing sales professional prepared him for this exciting and important role within the Chicago real estate community. The Lincoln Park office that he manages produces over 1 billion in sales each year and is ranked as one of the top offices in Illinois.

Jim has lived in Lincoln Park and Old Town for over 20 years where he now lives with his wife and 2 daughters.
