A native New Englander, McDermott grew up in Massachusetts and now calls Chevy Chase, DC home, where he lives with his wife and two sons. He is a board member of the CCBC Pre-School and an active supporter of the N Street Village, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, and Children’s National Hospital. In his free time, McDermott plays ice hockey, golf, and tennis. Prior to his career in real estate, McDermott worked on the 2012 Obama Campaign and served as a political appointee at the U.S. Department of Commerce and at the White House.
