Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, Houghton Hyatt attended Clemson University in South Carolina, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Financial Management. Houghton then spent the following eight years in Atlanta, GA, working within the mutual fund, insurance, and financial planning sector. She focused on building relationships with clients, brokers, and other professionals, gaining valuable experience and practical insight to serve her clients.

Since relocating, (with her husband, newborn, and dog), to Santa Barbara in 2009, Houghton has gained a wealth of knowledge about Santa Barbara, Montecito, and the surrounding areas. Her first-hand experience as a parent, now with two school-age children, and the opportunities this market has to offer is perhaps the distinction she holds most personal. Houghton’s extensive local connectivity is both deep and wide. It is here, Santa Barbara and Montecito, that she truly feels at home and has been enthusiastic in sharing that passion with others. Her own experience drives her empathy for the concerns of clients considering a move to this market and compels her to assist and connect her clients with all the advantages she has at her disposal.

Houghton’s goal is to understand what is most important to her clients, providing them with the knowledge, commitment, service, and integrity that she has to offer. Whether her clients would like to acquire property, downsize, move to a certain school district, or move for the quality of life that Santa Barbara has to offer, Houghton’s clients appreciate her listening skills and exceptional service - always with professionalism and a positive attitude.

In her free time, you'll find Houghton enjoying the beautiful wine country in the Santa Ynez Valley with family and friends, playing with her kids at Butterfly Beach, cycling with her husband along the coast, or taking a hike on one of the many trails in Montecito. One thing is for sure, she is making most of the lifestyle that Santa Barbara has to offer!
