Real Estate Professional in Round Top, Texas

“I love selling farm and ranch property and always knew that this is what I was meant to do. Walking around on densely wooded land and jumping over creeks, helping clients discover that perfect place to build a pond or a dream house is just like being a kid all over again, and I get to do this every day.”

Returning to Texas after 18 years in Los Angeles, Ellen was glad to be home, close to her family, and rekindling friendships and her love of the land and nature. Her family has owned a ranch near La Grange in Fayette County for the past 30 years, a place to which she returned for frequent visits, knowing that someday she would end up in the country.

Growing up in the Memorial area of Houston, wandering the piney woods, she dreamed of being a natural science illustrator. Attending the University of Texas at Austin and majoring in biology, she illustrated several textbooks, until she realized she’d better seek a more lucrative endeavor.

Ellen moved to Los Angeles and became an owner and marketing director in a successful luxury leather goods manufacturing company and pioneered the design of business cases for executive women, a concept so well received that she and her design partner sold it to Hartmann Luggage, where she then served as Director of Sales and Marketing. Her creativity, extensive research and unique point of view led to the development of luxury goods made from baseball glove leather, for which she negotiated a licensing agreement and began a relationship with Rawlings Sporting Goods that lasted for ten years.

She worked at The Getty Museum for 13 years and gave Architecture Tours as a volunteer. Her project management and organizational skills, combined with her dynamic personality, make Ellen an exceptional negotiator and realtor.

Ellen became a realtor in 2014 and was also hired as the Marketing Strategist for her previous company. She quickly rose to become one of the Top Producers after just two years in the business. She remained a Top Producer with her previous company through 2018.

Her talent for identifying the needs of her clients as well as the market place, her commitment to detailed research, and her ability to enthusiastically communicate her vision, insights and the potential that others might not see are invaluable to them.

She loves animals, wrote a book with her dog Porkchop Larry to raise money for the local animal shelter and lives on a small ranch near Round Top, Texas.

Ellen Hart works in South Central Texas and covers the following counties selling farm and ranch properties. Fayette, Colorado, Austin, Bastrop, Lee and Washington County.
