Eleanor Miller

Eleanor Miller brings more than 30 years' experience to Kurfiss Sotheby's International Realty. A long-time resident of the historic hamlet of Phillips Mill, just north of New Hope Borough in Solebury Township, Eleanor is licensed in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and has represented hundreds of buyers and sellers of country properties, historic homes, in-town residences, land and commercial properties. Regardless of how many properties she has closed, she still takes great pleasure in connecting clients to just the right property. Known for her love of the arts, Eleanor studied voice at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, where she was also involved with musical comedies. After college, she auditioned for a musical review at the Pittsburgh Playhouse and from that show, was asked to join a Broadway Review in New York with Bea Arthur, Norman Fell and several other Broadway names. It was while on tour with this production that she met her husband, Shaun Miller, who was doing the sets at the Playhouse in the Park in Philadelphia -- and how she eventually came to Bucks County to live. Shaun grew up at Phillips' Mill with a father who was one of the Bucks County artists, RAD Miller, so Eleanor has a vast knowledge of the Pennsylvania Impressionists and so many stories to go with them. Eleanor has a vast knowledge of the area's antique farmsteads and estates. She is a strong supporter of land preservation and conservation efforts in Central Bucks County. She is involved with the Primrose Creek Watershed and many other community issues. Eleanor continues to be involved in the theater, known for putting together years of cabaret shows with the Phillips Mill Players and supporting the Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope, and has played on its stage as well. She has been asked time and time again to write a book of the many stories she knows of people and places of Bucks County when there was no development --everyone knew your kids' names, the town of New Hope had great shops, antique stores, art galleries and the neighborhood pharmacy, the Canal was full of water and the barges ran daily. One final note: Don't be surprised if she sells you a home in the area and you later find yourself on stage in one of her productions. Just a warning!.
