Diana Devendorf Rice

Licensed Salesperson

Diana Rice's professional and educational background have allowed her to partner with a wide variety of professionals at the top of their fields. She has had a career showcasing her wine expertise; previously working for Sherry-Lehmann, founding her own wine brokerage house, and as the wine editor and critic for Girls Guide to Paris.

Diana’s personal approach to sales is rooted in authenticity and integrity. She genuinely enjoys earning the trust and confidence of her clients. Creating a win-win scenario by successfully positioning her customers to make well-informed decisions and helping to orchestrate the ideal transaction for them is how she builds and sustains relationships over the long term. In real estate, just like in wine, it’s all about the right pairing.

Diana is delighted to be mentored by Stan Ponte, Senior Global Real Estate Advisor and Associate Broker, with Sotheby’s International Realty. Stan has consistently been named among the top agents in Manhattan by sales volume according to The Thousand list, an annual national ranking by the Wall Street Journal and REAL Trends.

She earned degrees from Choate Rosemary Hall, Brown University, Sarah Lawrence College (MFA), the International Wine Center, and Le Cordon Bleu in Paris. She grew up in Locust Valley, NY, and is the daughter of Bonnie L. Devendorf, a former manager of the highly successful Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty Brokerage. Diana and husband, John C. Rice, raised their three boys in Katonah, NY, before moving back to Greenwich Village. In her spare time, Diana writes about wine as well as Manhattan architecture for Metropolitan Magazine.

Diana actively supports the following non-profits: The Innocence Project, Park Avenue Armory, CIVITAS, Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons, Washington Square Park Conservancy, St. Joseph’s of Greenwich Village, the University of St. Andrew’s North American Foundation, the Choate and Brown University Alumni Associations, and the Brooks and Millbrook Parents’ Associations.
