Colin Montgomery’s broad knowledge, keen insight, and warm approach make him the resource that clients turn to again and again. Raised in Washington D.C. and a New Yorker since 1999, Colin worked in the European paintings department at Sotheby’s auction house before earning his Masters of Fine Arts in photography at Yale University. Initially drawn to real estate by his own home-search, Colin found in Sotheby’s International Realty the ideal partner with which to create his business of personal real estate services.
Colin focuses beyond any single building, street, or neighborhood, and rather, he helps each client with their unique needs across the boroughs and with diverse property types. Equally at ease with a discerning cooperative transaction or an emerging-market multi-family investment, he works with a network of experienced legal, financial, design, and construction professionals.
Colin is member of the Real Estate Board of New York and is an accredited Certified Negotiations Expert (CNE.) He lives with his wife and son on Manhattan's Upper West Side.
