Chip Dineen

Licensed Salesperson, Global Real Estate Advisor

Chip Dineen, Global Real Estate Advisor and Licensed Salesperson with Sotheby's International Realty, enjoyed 11 years as a seasonal resident of the Hamptons until the lure of the area's pristine beaches and historic villages brought him here permanently in 2001, at which time he began his career at Sotheby’s International Realty.

For the past 17 years, Chip has been helping clients buy, sell and lease properties from Southampton to Amagansett. He specializes in architecturally significant and historically important properties ranging from estate section residences to vacant land, waterfront and equestrian estates.

Selected as exclusive listing agent for the 3.3-acre, $11.500,000 Southampton estate and residence of the president and chief creative director of a major luxury goods company, Chip successfully negotiated a transaction that almost tripled the property's previous selling price just four years later.

More recently, Chip listed and sold the original $13,000,000 Mecox Bay waterfront residence of a noted East End painter who owned the property since the early 1960s and used the inspiring setting to create her most famous work.

Dedicated to protecting the area's natural beauty, Chip is a 13-year board member of the Southampton Trails Preservation Society and currently serves on Southampton Town Trails Advisory Board, Southampton Town Transportation Commission, and Sag Harbor Village’s Transportation Group. Given his extensive knowledge of the area as both a resident and active conservationist, Chip works closely with clients to ensure that proper land use and development management goals are met. To that extent, Chip negotiated the sale to Southampton Town of a connecting parcel of now protected land needed to complete a hiking through trail in the Bridgehampton Hills.

Prior to real estate, Chip traveled extensively overseas as the Director of Sales for an international textile firm. He has a heightened awareness of the diverse cultures of many countries and understands his international clients' needs.

It's only natural for this Sag Harbor Village resident to continue indulging his passion for the outdoor lifestyle that first brought him to the area. In addition to leading other enthusiasts through the area's beautiful hiking trails, Chip enjoys sailing and kayaking. He is a member of the Breakwater Yacht Club Community Sailing Center.

Chip attended the Salisbury School in Salisbury, Connecticut and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Boston University.
