Charles is a fifth generation San Franciscan, was born in San Mateo and raised in Hillsborough. He and his wife, Jane, currently reside in the Baywood neighborhood of San Mateo. He has a very personal knowledge of the local school districts and surrounding Peninsula areas. Charles attended North Hillsborough Elementary, Eaglebook, in Deerfield, Massachusetts - followed by Stevenson in Pebble Beach, and earned his political science degree from the University of the Pacific (UOP) in Stockton.


After UOP, Charles went to work for Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi Capital Corporation, working with their cross-border aircraft leasing group before joining Cardinal Capital, LLC, in San Francisco. Charles enjoyed success with Cardinal, a tightly-knit boutique investment bank. In his fourth year with the firm, he became a principle, working closely with both their corporate finance and real estate units for close to a decade. His experience in real estate development exposed him to all areas of the investment and sales cycles in both commercial and residential markets including: acquisitions, dispositions, finance, entitlements, and construction and asset management. Due to his long family history in the area, Charles has an impressive understanding of the Peninsula and San Francisco real estate markets. Few brokers have such a native comprehension of the area's history, architecture, and families which make up the communities. Charles looks forward to bringing a corporate professionalism and work ethic to the residential real estate market. It was through this experience, as well as his past and innate attraction to the area, that originally drew him to McGuire Real Estate - where he was McGuire's #1 Peninsula agent - and now to Golden Gate Sotheby's International Realty in Burlingame.


Charles also has a unique advantage working in partnership with his wife, Jane, who has been working in commercial and residential for over twenty three years. Jane received her MBA from USC Marshall School of Business. Prior to joining Charles in residential real estate in 2012, Jane worked as an Asset Manager for Morgan Stanley and Pacific Coast Capital Partners. She managed office, multifamily, industrial, retail and development properties in the Western United States. Jane was responsible for formulating and implementing value creation and exit strategies for each asset. She created and implemented business plans including: rehabilitation, repositioning, refinancing, and divesting of assets.


Charles and Jane are not only passionate, but have also been successful, in renovating and building homes. They bring a unique and creative collaboration to remodeling, interior design and landscape. These abilities are useful in staging and selling your home as well as helping to create a future vision for your new property.
