Brenda S. Powers is one of the most successful, respected, and influential women in New York City's real estate industry. She and her business partner, Elizabeth Sample, have a total sales volume of $2.3 billion in residential sales and hundreds of millions in rental volume. She is responsible for some of the largest and most important real estate transactions.

In 2014, 2015, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2022, Elizabeth Sample and Brenda Powers ranked in the Top 10 at Sotheby's International Realty in NYC. In 2022, they sold 6D at 15 Central Park West for $20M, representing both the seller and buyer. They sold PH 75AB at The Residences at The Mandarin Oriental for $32M / $6,007 a ft. In May 2019, they sold 1010 Park Avenue 3-4 for $24.75M. They were responsible for the sale of The Plaza Hotel's residential PH-2003 for $29M in March 2019 and PH-2009 for $32.7M in 2017. The sale of PH-2003 was the highest dollar per square foot ever achieved in the building. Additionally, in November 2018, they closed on 432 Park Avenue upper floor B line for $29M. In January 2019, they closed on Apt 75CE at 80 Columbus Circle Residences. They were also responsible for the highest sale ever at the Residences at The Mandarin Oriental New York, PH-77B closed for a record $38.9M or $8062 per square foot. Elizabeth and Brenda have transacted over half a billion to date at the Mandarin Oriental Residences and the Deutsche Bank Center. In 2016, they handled the sale of PH-78 at 25 Columbus Circle for $51.5M and 157 West 57th Street Apt 62A for $31M. In 1998 they sold the Pierre PH Triplex for $20.5M - the largest deal ever transacted at that time.

Brenda and Elizabeth were recently included in The Wall Street Journal / REALTrends exclusive list of America's Best in 2023. They were also ranked by Sotheby's International Realty in 2018 as the top 100 agents worldwide. They were listed among Anywhere Real Estate Inc. top 1% in sales from 2011-2018 and were identified by The Real Deal as the fifth-highest listing brokers in 2010 and 2011, sixth highest in 2012 and 2013, and twelfth in 2014. They held listings in Forbes "Top 10 Most Expensive Properties for Sale" in 2004-2007, 2009, 2010, 2013, and 2015. The Sample Powers Team was named to Gotham's "New York Billion Dollar Brokers."
