Third generation Dallas native Angela Thornhill graduated from the University of Oklahoma with an Honors BA in History and from the University of Houston Law Center with a JD.



Angela began her career as a real estate attorney for the federal government. She then spent five years working as a corporate real estate manager for a major telecommunications provider where her position was comprised of a hybrid of legal and acquisition responsibilities. Invigorated by working with real estate brokers to procure properties for the telecom’s portfolio, Angela decided to obtain her real estate salesperson’s license and later her broker’s license.


Intrigued by the growth and rejuvenation in her Lakewood neighborhood, Angela launched her residential real estate career in 2005. Residential real estate has been a perfect fit for Angela because it combines the analytical skills and attention to detail cultivated from her legal training and experience with her love of people and desire to guide clients through important real estate decisions. Angela approaches her career with the mindset that she is a service-provider to her clients. To her, information is the key…from pricing and comps, staging advice, neighborhood and school insight, and vendor and contractor recommendations. Angela feels that providing such knowledge and advocating for her clients are her greatest gifts to them.


Having joined Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty as an agent when it opened its Lakewood office in 2014, Angela assumed the role of Vice President of Sales and Assistant General Counsel in fall 2019.


When not selling real estate or performing her Briggs Freeman Sotheby's International Realty corporate duties, Angela helps her husband Mark with his company, Thornhill Custom Homes, LLC, which specializes in the construction of high-end energy efficient homes, additions and remodels in Lakewood, East Dallas and Preston Hollow. They live in Forest Hills with their two college-aged sons. Angela is an avid reader, tennis player and movie bluff. She is a regular volunteer at Church of the Incarnation and the North Texas Food Bank. For many years, she served on the boards of St. John’s Episcopal School’s Parents Association and its Real Estate Committee, as well as the board of Lakewood Early Childhood PTA where she chaired several Lakewood Home Festival positions.
