A German native, Andrea King finds that her international origins, business leadership and real estate development background, are an effective blend, when connecting buyers and sellers in an increasingly global Lake Tahoe market. Born in the Frankfurt area, the family business was in real estate development and construction. Andrea leverages this background to bring integrity and clarity to her Lake Tahoe buyers and sellers alike. Andrea studied English in California while she worked for an international shipping company. She was later joined by her Irish husband Joe, an FX and money market trader for Citibank's Treasury in London. Now a team, they moved to Ireland, bought, managed, subdivided and sold farmland, developed and sold commercial property, single-family real estate and managed vacation rentals. While sourcing high quality German building components for their private projects, Andrea started a separate Import business to satisfy a demand from home owners and builders for high-end German building products. With the demand coming from reputation and trade shows, many satisfied clients ensured. Andrea has been to many beautiful places and countries, but a skiing trip to pristine Lake Tahoe area in 1994 put this region on the top of her 'favorite place on earth' list. After many years of subsequent vacations all around the lake, the King family made the permanent move to South Lake Tahoe. With two sons, both born in Ireland, South Lake Tahoe offered outstanding educational opportunities.
